Every year after that I would progressively get it cut shorter and shorter until around last September where I decided to finally go super short and donate my hair, something I was dying to do since I was younger. I thought it was a perfect time since I was growing tired of my colored ombre hair.
Unfortunately, I was not happy with my new haircut and I absolutely hated my short hair. I thought it mad my face look so weird and I just never really found a way to style it. I tried straightening it and by the end of the day it would just flip at the ends. Then I tried curling it but the curls would not hold in my hair. I tried to go with my natural texture, which is a sort of beachy wave, but that also seemed to disappear with the hair that I cut off.
Finally after months of growing and waiting, I decided to try going ombre again but doing it on the more natural side for my upcoming birthday this past March. I again ran into problems and let me just say it was anything but natural. It was orange. Never ask me for pictures about that time. Just. No. I eventually ended up going to a local salon in downtown Phoenix that one of my classmates told me about and the hairstylist that did her hair. Thank the heavens he was able to take me in such short notice since I was leaving for my trip to Mexico City to visit family, but I was extremely happy with the results and in love with my lightened and fresh ombre!
Sadly that stylist had moved to LA by the time my roots starting growing out again! :(
Just my luck. So I found my current stylist, by the name of Jillian Gabiou, who works at VOLR salon in the heart of Phoenix. She was able to refreshen my ombre once again and give me a new cut. Finally I found a place to give my hair a home and for it to be taken care of.
Now that finally that brings you up to speed of my current hair situation. As you can obviously see, I am a natural dark brown brunette transitioning into a blonde at the moment. I am presently obsessed with silver hair. It just looks so cool and for the longest time I've thought about whether it would work for my skin tone and if I could even work it. It probably has to do with the fact that I was also obsessed with 1D's current hair and makeup stylist Lou Teasdale's hair. It is absolutely gorgeous and after seeing the picture below I was fully convinced about going silver!!!
I've gone through about two, whole heads bleaches, a run in with peachy color of manic panic, and an upcoming root touch up and haircut. I'm dying to get my hair done already.
I gone full Bleach- aholic. I'm hoping at my next appointment that Jillian will let me bleach again a week after since you know I can't go so long with letting my roots grow out, right? I'm just tired of this blonde and I feel like it's orange sometimes and that scares me. You know??
Will give you guys an update on upcoming post about the silver. Stay tuned....
